The funny thing about video ads is that the search is over.  They exist.  They are out there.  You have sources that will place the ad, you have sources that will help you make the ad.  (Just, none as good as AdGrinder – right?  Right!)

The problem is not the market.  The services exist to fulfill the need.  The problem is the publisher who isn’t letting their user know that they can place an ad on their content.  The problem is the publisher who doesn’t properly communicate to their user that the space exists to advertise.  The problem is the publisher who doesn’t say, in a loud voice, “Hey.  Advertise here!  I’ll take your money, and I’ll say thank you.  And if you don’t have an ad, don’t worry about it, you can build one by clicking here!”

Do not make advertising on your site a mystery.  If you want advertisers, tell people.  When those potential advertisers want more information, don’t force them to look hard for it.  Make it easily available, give them the all of the information, and all of the tools, they need.  If you are looking for the ad dollar for your content, don’t be shy.  Be honest, and direct.  Most importantly, remember that many smaller advertisers – when they make the decision – want to advertise now.  Don’t get in the way of them paying you.
